Disease can’t grow in an alkaline body. 🌿
Our bodies thrive when our pH is balanced (which is between 6.0 and 7.5 on a scale of 0-14). This means we need to have the right amount of acidity and the right amount of alkalinity. This problem is, most of our diets (mine for sure!) is highly acidic.
Coffee, meats, grains, processed foods and sweets are some examples of acidic foods. This can be rough on our body if there is too much. It can lead to unwanted ailments and serious health problems. (I strongly recommend everybody Google these concerns.)
Some examples of alkaline foods include: leafy greens and other veggies (not nearly as delicious as cheesy bread). Surprisingly, Lemons are extremely alkaline-forming in the body. (Hello lemon essential oil in the water!) Supplementing lemons into your diet can help cleanse your digestive system, ignite your metabolism and neutralize excess acids.
